homelab update

T2 chip is a nightmare when trying to recycle an old mac with a broken screen. the actual computer is perfectly fine, but now, i have a brick. Proxmox kept shutting down the computer. so i decided to do Ubuntu Server. That actually works okay, but anytime i need to use the laptop screen like when i couldnt connect to the computer, it would get hot, the fans would get crazy and it would reboot. and on reboot, it did not recognise the ethernet cable connected to it. so i wanted to reverse it all and just reinstall the mac, see if i could sell it or something more useful. but it seems i deleted the recovery mode while installing ubuntu server? o gosh. now ive given up and purchased a ThinkCenter, which i love. i cant wait for it to come so i can set up prometeus and grafana for my django app in prod.
